I began my counseling journey with Mrs. Woodson about 2 years ago. My initial focus was surrounding my ADHD and how I could manage it better in both my personal and professional life. As a manager in the corporate world it was important to be able to understand how I work, what motivates me, and how I can better interact with my team and colleagues. Life then took some turns which included a divorce and a diagnosis of a chronic illness. With all that happening at the same time, I looked forward every week to discuss what I was feeling and how to work through whatever challenge presented itself to me that week. I always left with a sense of calm, knowing that I had a plan. We would talk through a plan of action, or learn techniques on how to handle them or how to handle that situation the next time. It is invaluable. I strongly encourage everyone to seek out help and Woodson Counseling gave me the confidence to tackle whatever was coming my way, with expert techniques and thoughtfulness.
