Joselyn C. Woodson, LCPC

Hello and Welcome!

My goal as a psychotherapist is to help you lead a life that is worth celebrating.  While we can’t change difficult situations from the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve current challenges in your life.  By applying complementary therapy approaches, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I am committed to help you achieve your goals and find relief from disturbing emotional, behavioral, and physical symptoms.  In a warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive atmosphere, together, we will collaborate on a personalized treatment plan to improve your quality of life.  I will help you identify and overcome dysfunctional patterns that interfere with mental well-being, relationships, and general life satisfaction.

I received a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Clinical Psychology education and training at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.  I am also an Ordained Minister and Christian Counselor.  I studied Biblical Counseling at Trinity Bible College and Seminary.

I have advanced training and experience with treating a wide range of emotional and psychological disturbances.  I employ scientifically proven treatment techniques, including,  Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

You're not alone.  Help is but a call away.
